Music Superfans generating 40% conversion rates inside Flowd

We’ve been a bit Full On for the past few weeks focusing on Flowd and ‘The DJ’s DJ” – Ferry Corsten. Ferry has taken up residency in Ibiza at the new club Sankey’s (sister club of Sankey’s Manchester) and we’ve been helping the club and Ferry’s management team to set up a great competition with Flowd.com.
Having Julian out in Ibiza has been essential to making this Flowd campaign happen. He’s literally been on his bike; helping to install WiFi coverage throughout the club; guiding Ferry and his fellow DJ’s (Sied Van Riel, Solarstone and Bart Claessen) through the Flowd ropes and then meeting and greeting the lucky clubbers at Sankeys.
The team at 247 Management, (Ferry’s Booking Team) have been a great help in making this Flowd campaign come to life so we’d like to thank Dimitri De Wit and Paula Van Der Waerden for their support too.

FLOWD AND FERRY CORSTEN TEAMS UP FOR IBIZA SUMMER SEASON
Ferry Corsten runs a VIP campaign for his fans worldwide
WHAT: International DJ Ferry Corsten is teaming up with Flowd, the social network for music lovers, to fully immerse his fans in his residency at Sankeys Ibiza this summer. As well as using Flowd to reward people who attend his weekly Full on Ferry; Ibiza nights with the chance to meet with Ferry Corsten himself in the VIP area backstage, Ferry Corsten and Flowd will also be offering fans around the world a chance to win a VIP trip to Ibiza for the closing party.
The Full on Ferry campaign utilizes new campaign triggers in Flowd’s Frequent Fans marketing platform, which facilitates randomly rewarding of one or many fans that perform a certain activity. In this case, the campaign triggers are a check-in to Ferry’s Ibiza gigs and to follow Ferry on Flowd. The possibilities for creating engaging and interesting offers for fans through Frequent Fans are practically limitless.
Ferry Corsten explains: “I’m really excited to see the Full on Ferry; Ibiza experience is a success. It’s a great celebration for everyone heading out to Ibiza this summer, and I wanted to reward the people who come to Sankeys to see the events. Flowd’s campaign tools provide a great way of doing this.”

It’s not just Ferry Corsten that’s getting in on the Flowd action at Full on Ferry; Ibiza. Alongside Ferry Corsten, other top DJs and artists will be performing at the shows include: Sied van Riel, Bart Claessen, Lange, Solarstone and W&W, who are all actively engaging with their fans on Flowd already.

HOW IT WORKS: This is a two-stage promotion for Full on Ferry; Ibiza using Flowd’s Frequent Fans platform. Once fans have downloaded Flowd and followed Full on Ferry; Ibiza there are two ways that they can participate depending on their activity.
1. Fans attending the Full on Ferry; Ibiza shows will be invited to check-in to the event through the Flowd application on their phones using Sankeys’ free WiFi connection. By checking-in to the event, fans can share their thoughts, photos and videos of the show directly with Ferry Corsten and other DJs. The DJs themselves can share their thoughts as well. Amongst everyone who checks in, one virtual backstage pass will be awarded at random to one fan. This fan will join Ferry backstage for a meet-n-greet VIP style.
2. Additionally, amongst every follower of Ferry Corsten on Flowd, one VIP trip to Ibiza will be awarded at the end of the summer season. One lucky fan will then be selected at random on 24th August to join Ferry Corsten and other DJs backstage in Ibiza for the closing party on 13th September 2011.
GET STARTED: Music fans can download Flowd for free from the iTunes App Store, Android Market and Nokia Ovi store. Fans can find their favourite bands under Artists and get regular news, views and photos by following them. Fans can also discover more about artists’ upcoming gigs by clicking on Events on the artist’s profile, listen to their latest tracks and podcasts under Music.
By using Flowd, music fans can also use a wide range of social networking features including check-in to places, send messages, share pictures and connect with friends through Twitter and Facebook. Fans can also customize the look and feel of Flowd by re-skinning the app with artists’ themes. Flowd allows music fans to keep up to date with artists’ news and views, track and check-in to latest gigs and appearances and view photos and videos. Artists can also reward their fans for their loyalty through promotions and mobile offers.

A little thank you and a new logo…
This week we’ve mostly been thanking people and creating, so good vibes all round. We sent out a small gift by email using Mailchimp, which seems to have been very well received. We offered a few free *Sparketing* sessions, which were snapped up. However, there were plenty of people who missed out, so we’ve offered them a special deal too.
We will share the results of our email A/B test too once we get the full details – as it makes interesting reading.
And finally, we’ve just received our new logo for the Spirits of Ibiza brand and very nice it is too. We worked with Paul Mansell over at www.pmgraphics.co.uk and he’s done a great job. As if he wasn’t busy enough designing logos and preparing the launch plans for MarlowFM’s upcoming launch on FM . It’s all volunteers who run the shows, so please feel free to help them out with your time or even better, your money.
This logo is definitely getting us ready for the sunshine – we had some yesterday and now we want more…
